• Our Mission

Our team's primary objective is to maintain the race truck all the way to the finish line. To do this, a diverse collection of individuals will come together performing an assortment tasks far beyond that of simply driving and navigating the race truck.

 

• Description

In compliance with the rules and guidelines of SCORE International Off-road Racing, we have constructed a 1991 Ford Bronco fit to complete in Class 3. All of the fabrication and modifications to the race truck have been performed in house at McCarthy Motorsports by the members of Hoon Racing.



Currently, Hoon Racing is competing in VORRA and HDRA with aspirations to eventually pursue the SCORE race series.

• SCORE CLASS 3 Information

This is a production short wheelbase 4x4 class that competes in the SCORE off-road race series races including the Baja 1000, Baja 500, San Felipe 250.

Built from a 4-wheel drive utility type vehicle. No pickup trucks are allowed in this class. Engine must be of the same manufacturer, basic design and have the same number of cylinders. Any displacement engine may be used as long as the original block casting remains the same. Suspension must be of the same basic design and concept as originally produced. Suspension parts may be strengthened, reinforced or replaced.



• Wounded Warrior Project

Along with fulfilling our passion to race we will be actively supporting The Wounded Warrior Project during the events in which we are competing. Our team is comprised of both veteran and patriotic individuals, and we highly encourage any disabled veterans who are interested in the sport to meet us in the pits and on the course! We plan to be selling team merchandise in which all the profits will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
